Leinster Ladies Senior Championship semi-final
Congratulations to our senior team who had a very hard fought win over Mountmellic Sarsfields of Laois in the semi-final of the Leinster Ladies Senior Championship on Sunday last. The final score was Foxrock-Cabinteely 4-13 Mountmellick Sarsfields 3-9. The final will be the weekend of November 6 / 7 and the opponents will be St. Lawrence's from Kildare.
Many thanks to all the supporters who were present on Sunday and we look forward to seeing you all again at the Leinster Final. Thanks also to the Gaelic 4 Mothers players who looked after the catering on Sunday.
Underage championship finals
Commiserations to our Minor B, U14 and U13 panels who were defeated in their respective championship finals over the weekend. The U13 game against Ballyboden went to extra time and the U14 game against Ballinteer St. John’s actually went to a sudden death kick-off. Well done though to all players and management for making it through to the final stages of the competition. Our Minor A’s have the division 1 shield final to look forward to in the coming week. More details later once venue and time have been confirmed.
A reminder to all members about the fund-raising table quiz on Thursday November 10th at 8:30 pm in The Grange Pub, Deansgrange.

Well done to our senior team who had a good win over St. Ultan’s from Meath in the Leinster Ladies Senior Club Football Championship on Saturday. Thanks to St. Ultan’s for the hospitality shown to the players and thanks also to all who travelled to the game to support the team. The team have now qualified for the Leinster semi-final where the opponents will be Mountmellick Sarsfields – the team that they beat in last year’s Leinster final. It was a busy weekend for our underage teams in championship semi-finals. Well done to the Minor B’s, U14’s and U13 division 1 teams who all qualified for their respective finals. Commiserations to the U16’s and U13 division 3 teams who both lost narrowly.
U10 Challenge game v’s Kilmacud Crokes
After a long spell of heavy rain early on Saturday 01/10 the weather cleared up for the U10s challenge match against Kilmacud in Pairc de Burca. Twenty six girls turned out to play in two teams against two strong Crokes teams. As usual the girls put in a very determined performance and showed some fantastic improvement in defending and regaining possession. Moment of the day was when Millie Aherne, who was surrounded by 3 Crokes players, displayed great composure and skill and passed with an overhead kick to one of her FoxCab team-mates. See more reports from this fantastic group of players here.
